Fall is around the corner and it seems like the perfect time to step up our date nights!

Here it is, your cheat sheet to creating the perfect date night in Chinatown. Take yourself, your friend, your parent or your partner (or all of the above!). You don’t have to give me any credit, just email me or leave a comment and let me know if you did it! Let's start with drinks, then move on to a massage and finally finish the night with some delicious food, all on one street!

One of my favorite streets in Chinatown is Pell Street. It is a small alley-like street that has so much character and connects to Doyer Street, where some great bars are located.

First stop on this date night is to get a beverage and de-stress from the day. We checked out Pulqueria and had a great time taking advantage of their happy hour. Also, you can head to Peachy's, around the corner, for some great cocktails. If you are feeling extra fancy, step over to Apotheke and really impress your date!

Apotheke is a speakeasy that has pharmaceutical mixologists on hand to help you find the cure for any ailment. Drinks are pricey but just two will do! Is that cheesy? Are you judging me? :) Well, you won't judge the drinks! They have a list of "prescriptions" for you to choose from and they even have absinthe cocktails to start your night off right. Also, they have a list of wine and beer, if you are not in a cocktail mood...though I don't understand that.

Next stop, now that you're a little more relaxed, let's turn up the relaxation with some massages! Walk on over to Glow Day Spa and treat yourself and your date (or vice versa) to a 10 minute massage or a full hour massage. It's inexpensive and they do an amazing job.

Once the massage is over, walk across the street (literally, it's across the street) to the famous Joe's Shanghai for some crave-worthy soup dumplings. You cannot have just one of these delicious dumplings. Be careful when you eat them, they are hot! Eat with caution and don't pop the whole thing in your mouth. I've seen this done before and it is even painful to watch. Joe's has plenty more to offer besides soup dumplings but they are known for these delicious dumplings and you will not be disappointed.

If you are not too tired and full after these adventures, let me suggest that you walk on down to The Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory - you will not regret it! Traditional western flavors along with some more interesting eastern flavors are available to sample and choose from. I am a fan of the taro icecream. Another crave-worthy delight.

In the end, Taro ice cream won for me and just typing this makes me want more.
